  • Kinder's Prime Rib Seasoning optional
For the BBQ sauce.

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • paprika to taste
  • garlic powder to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Method

Instructions
  1. Season the ribs. Preheat your oven to 275°F. Generously season both sides of the ribs with your favorite BBQ seasoning blend, making sure to flip the ribs and coat both sides well.
  2. Wrap the ribs. Place the ribs with the meatiest side facing down. Wrap them tightly in parchment paper, followed by aluminum foil. Make sure they're sealed well to help keep the meat moist as it cooks.
  3. Slow cook. Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and cook at 275°F for about 3, or until they're tender and nearly finished cooking.
  4. Make the BBQ sauce. While the ribs are cooking, add the ketchup, honey, spicy brown mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper to a saucepan over medium heat.
  5. Simmer the sauce. Stir everything together and bring the sauce to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for at least 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Sauce the ribs. Carefully unwrap the ribs and discard the foil and parchment paper. Generously coat the ribs with the BBQ sauce, making sure every part is covered.
  7. Bake uncovered. Return the ribs to the oven and bake uncovered at 275°F for another 30 minutes. Set aside about ½ cup of the BBQ sauce for serving if you like your ribs extra saucy.
  8. Broil for the char. Once the ribs are finished baking, increase the oven to 450°F on broil. Broil the ribs for about 3–4 minutes, watching them closely, until the sauce caramelizes and the ribs develop a delicious char.
  9. Serve. Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before cutting and serving. Spoon over some of the extra BBQ sauce for an extra saucy Sunday dinner.

Notes

Cozy Sunday Tip. Serve these with all your favorite BBQ sides—think creamy mac and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, cornbread, or buttery mashed potatoes. And don't be afraid to make extra sauce. These ribs are very good when they're nice and saucy!
